Wokingham Town produced an impressive comeback to beat Northwood 4-1 after falling behind in a lively encounter.
The visitors started brightly, but Wokingham were soon creating opportunities of their own. An early corner was whipped into the box and narrowly cleared the crossbar, while another set piece came to nothing as both sides looked to establish control.
Northwood threatened from set pieces, with a free kick on the edge of the Wokingham box eventually leading to a corner. Wokingham defended well, clearing another dangerous free kick near the corner flag before the Northwood goalkeeper comfortably dealt with a further corner.
The opening 15 to 20 minutes were evenly contested, with both teams showing plenty of attacking intent and creating promising chances.
Wokingham came close again after some excellent build-up play created a clear opening, only for the effort to be blocked. They continued to press, winning a number of corners and free kicks in dangerous areas, although Northwood's defence stood firm.
Northwood then broke forward on the counter after a free kick in a promising crossing position, but Wokingham recovered well to stop the attack.
The visitors eventually broke the deadlock to make it 1-0. The goal followed a contentious foul decision, but Northwood took advantage of the situation and produced a composed finish.
